NH Research 4760-2 DC Electronic Load is a 2 kW device that can be used as a standalone bench-top unit or as part of an automated test station to accommodate various electronic loading applications. This load is perfect for evaluating power conversion and storage equipment including DC power supplies, telecom rectifiers, and battery packs since it is especially effective for applications that require quick transient simulation and precise internal measurements. The 4760-2 has an enclosure measuring 133 x 483 x 559 mm, weighs 50 lbs (23 kg), and operates in the voltage range of 7.0 to 600V with a maximum current handling capacity of 100A.

The device has a 7-inch touch screen with a graphical user interface (GUI) that supports popular test programming languages for remote control as well as manual operation. Six useful tabs comprise this next-generation user interface, each of which offers a full-screen display and control over associated data. For example, even while the 4760-2 is being controlled remotely, the Monitor Tab is always showing the real voltage, current, power, and resistance readings. The Scope Tab offers a graphical representation of voltage-current relationships, assisting in the engineering characterization and troubleshooting of the unit under test (UUT), while the Control Tab permits manual settings for constant current (CC), constant voltage (CV), constant resistance (CR), and constant power (CP) operating modes.

The 4760-2 can provide complex, quick-changing load profiles with variable slew rates and microsecond pulses. The device can save and execute up to 100-step macros, which improves this capabilities and allows for quick transitions. Accurate internal measurements like overshoot, rise-time, and turn-on time reduce expenses and increase testing throughput by doing away with the need for external equipment.
